Katya began working for local advocacy nonprofits while she was studying environmental studies at UCSB and learned about the importance of local-led efforts in creating lasting change. She gained further experience in program management working for the Santa Barbara County Food Action Network (SBCFAN), where she was responsible for developing public-facing communications and coordinating outreach opportunities. Katya is thrilled to work with WEV, connecting community members to WEV’s training programs and supporting them in achieving their goals.
