Mariaelena Welch

Mariaelena Welch is the founder and owner of VITA Leadership. When she started freelance consulting in 2009, she didn’t know that she was going to start her own business. “Like many women I had my own set of insecurities when starting my business,” said Mariaelena. It was through these feelings that she realized this was the work she was passionate about and created VITA to help teams reach their full potential.

She has worn many hats at WEV – she has served on the board, has volunteered, been a consultant and business advisor, and a dedicated supporter through the League of Extraordinary Women.

Mariaelena’s desire to help people reach their full potential is why she supports WEV. “WEV champions the empowerment of women in every way. The financial empowerment, personal life empowerment, work life balance empowerment, leadership empowerment. They help women connect to their inner sources of power and strength to make their lives better for themselves and their communities at large.”

She also shared that women-owned businesses create stability for the business owner and the community and is a big reason why she invests in WEV. “At its core, WEV brings stability to women-owned businesses and when you bring stability to those entrepreneurs, you bring stability to a community – that is the impact that the organization makes day in and day out, the return on investment is so high it’s silly not to support.”
