Tamara Nowlin

The idea for Tamara Nowlin’s business, Yellow Daisy Writers, was born long before she even considered entrepreneurship, when in her childhood, she wrote a poem about flowers outside her window.  She said “As an adult, I thrill at the opportunity to help others tell their stories. My goal is to really learn about my clients so I can best reflect their personalities, priorities, and vision in my work. I believe everyone has a story to tell whether it’s a personal story, a business story, or a wedding toast- telling our stories is essential.”    

After seeing her friend Blanca Hoffmeier’s business featured on WEV’s social media, Tamara decided to sign up for the SET class. She said, “The WEV SET class was instrumental in helping me build my business. Although I consider myself an educated person, I have never taken a business course before. The SET class filled in all the missing pieces in my business plan and provided me with an understanding of how to launch my business as well as how to make it work. The information I learned was invaluable, but even more, the support and relationships formed during the course boosted my confidence as a small business owner and gave me the courage to actually go out there and share my business with the world.” 

She likes to stay connected with the WEV Community through participation in virtual networking events and following WEV on social media. She says she hopes to continue “Helping people communicate their stories one word at a time.”
