League member Nick Frankle has spent his whole career investing in the power of people’s potential. He first connected with WEV in 2010 while leading microfinance projects in developing countries. Inspired by the success of microfinancing abroad, Nick wanted to bring it home locally and was introduced to WEV’s founding CEO, Marsha Bailey. Through collaboration with the Rotary Foundation where Nick is highly involved, he and Marsha secured a grant to fund microfinance opportunities for low-income Spanish-speaking women through WEV.
“I support WEV because I believe in the microfinance model, the investment is evident just by listening to the stories of people touched by WEV. Giving a person the opportunity to live their dreams, to provide income, and to make a difference in the lives of their family and the community is what entrepreneurship is all about,” said Nick.
